As Miners, UTEP students have a treasure trove of activities that help them strengthen their minds and their bodies or make a difference in their community.
Programs such as the Entering Student Program provide academic and social support to beginning students as they transition to university life. SmartStart and the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) help students get a head start with a little extra help.
And the Student Success Program and Honors Program are just a few that give students the opportunity to participate in advanced activities and classroom discussions, with perks such as earning an honors degree.
Beyond that, more than 100 registered
student organizations offer students an
array of extracurricular choices. The
diverse groups range from anime to
religion to computer gaming. Many
more organizations tailor to specific
political, academic, and social or
cultural interests, such as the Student
Government Association
